01LENGTH OF STAY
When considering an experience abroad, we must first take into consideration the length of the program.
We will help the parents choose one of the following five options:
-
IFULL SCHOOL YEAR
Students immerse themselves in a school abroad for a full year. The countries that offer this type of program are: the UK, Ireland, Switzerland, Germany, Austria, France, US, Canada, among others.
-
IISEMESTER
This option is only available through certain academic systems that divide the school year into two semesters
-
IIITRIMESTER
This option is similar to that of a full school year, but the experience lasts only for three months. Student will require the authorization of the school where they are currently enrolled.
-
IVEOT/BOT
Under this option, students sit in on classes in a boarding school abroad no less than three weeks before the beginning or at the end of their school year. These programs are only available in the UK and Germany, as the school year starts earlier and ends later than in most countries.
-
VHIGH SCHOOL
During their last years of schooling, we help students enroll in a boarding school abroad for one to three years depending on the country’s academic system.

02CHOOSING THE RIGHT
EDUCATION SYSTEM
Once the length of the program has been decided on, it’s time to choose the education system. Not all systems are the right fit for all students, as each one has its unique advantages and disadvantages. Making the right choice will be important to make the most of our experience abroad.

03CHOOSING THE
RIGHT COUNTRY
Even though some countries share the same language and a similar academic system, this doesn’t mean that the cost of living, facilities, and school calendar will be the same.
After deciding on the length of the program, we must choose the country or region where we want to study according to our needs and goals.

04CHOOSING THE
RIGHT SCHOOL
The options are endless when choosing a school for our children. There are small and large institutions located in more rural towns or in cosmopolitan cities. Some are co-ed, boys only, or girls only. Others are highly academic oriented while others majorly focus on sports or fine arts, and some even boast top, cutting-edge scientific facilities.
There’s a school and an education system out there for every student, so it’s essential that they receive the appropriate guidance from an expert to ensure a fantastic experience.

05APPLICATION PROCESS
After choosing the right school for the student, the application process begins.
Getting into good schools is highly competitive, and just like top universities, many of them can afford to be very selective upon choosing the type of student they want to admit.
This process requires time and effort on behalf of the student as well as TGMH, so it’s absolutely crucial that we strategically prepare the application and gather the necessary documents to meet the school’s requirements and expectations.

06ENTRANCE EXAMS
The more prestigious a school is, the higher the demand will be, thus making the admission process harder. If a school is interested in one of our candidates, they will interview them and/or have them take an entrance exam.
The Georgian Manor House students will have the advantage of taking all exams at our offices without having to travel to the school abroad, unless otherwise required. This is important, as this will save us money and time on traveling, hotels, transfers, etc.
